Update English books:

The English version of Eden is available online now for a couple of weeks. And it’s doing great. It’s a joy to see the reviews slowly coming in (if you haven’t left a review yet, but still want to, please do) and to get emails from all over the world telling me that they loved the book and if there will be a new release soon. Well, if you are wondering the same thing, the answer is YES. Several translations will see the light of day this year.

This is going to be the publication schedule for the rest of this year (dates may change):

23 May 2020 – In the end there’s a plane crash – English (short story/novella)

Update Dutch books:

I just had all the reviews and comments back for my upcoming novel Uit de duisternis from my beta readers and made the adjustments that were necessary. Now it’s off to the publisher. We will start the editing process in April/May.

About the childrens book I’m working on. I haven’t gotten the revised book back yet from the publisher, so I will have to wait a bit longer to edit that one. It’s not sure when the book will come out, but it will be around August/September.

Recommendations:

This month I didn’t have time for much reading, but still finished this book:

Blurb:
A teenage girl is held captive and brutally tortured by neighborhood children. Based on a true story, this shocking novel reveals the depravity of which we are all capable.

What I thought about it: I have never ever read anything like this. This isn’t horror, this is terror. So well written, but also so visual. And the fact that it’s based on true events made me cringe at times.

So, what are you reading at this moment? Do you have any recommendations? Have you read any books lately that you loved?

Please leave a review

If you have read one of my books, but haven’t left a review yet, I would much appreciate it if you did. Reviews help a lot in making sure other people get to read the book too. It doesn’t have to be fancy or long, just an honest opinion in one or 2 sentences could be enough. You can leave one by clicking here and clicking on the book that you’ve read. Thank you so much in advance.

Until next month,
Joris
